Experience Exceptional Dental Care in a Comfortable Environment

Dental Fillings

Dental Fillings

If you have developed a cavity, Dr. Jeffery A. Hennigan  can treat decay and use a dental filling to restore the strength and function of your tooth. At Lake Area Dentistry, we offer discreet fillings made of tooth-colored composite, as well as traditional fillings made of metal amalgam, to meet your needs and budget.

Periodontal Care

When left untreated, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to tooth loss, gum recession, and other oral health concerns. If Dr. Hennigan or Dr. Bray spots signs of gum disease, we can perform a scaling and root planing procedure to eliminate pockets of bacteria and improve your periodontal health. In more severe cases, we can also perform minor gum surgery.

Geriatric Care

At Lake Area Dentistry, we are especially skilled at treating geriatric patients and recognize the connection between a senior's oral health and overall wellbeing. When providing geriatric care, we offer several sedation options to keep seniors comfortable during treatment, and we can also coordinate with their caregivers.

Root Canal Therapy

In cases where decay advances to the inner pulp of a tooth, we can use root canal therapy to treat infection and prevent the need for extraction. During a root canal procedure, your doctor will remove infected tissue and fill in the resulting space with a rubber-like substance. Lastly, we will place a dental crown over the treated tooth to restore its strength.

Mouth Guard

Mouth Guards

To protect your smile during contact sports, we offer custom mouth guards, which are typically more comfortable and offer better protection than generic store-bought devices. Additionally, we can also provide custom oral splints to help patients suffering from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder find relief from painful symptoms.

Orthodontics

If you are seeking a smile with beautifully straight teeth, we offer ClearCorrect™to achieve your goals. ClearCorrect™is a discreet orthodontic treatment that uses clear plastic trays to gently realign teeth. These trays are not only virtually invisible to others, they are also removable, so you can continue to enjoy all of your favorite foods.

Extractions

We will always attempt to save a damaged tooth whenever possible. However, when a tooth is severely infected, extraction may be the best way to preserve your oral health. In other cases, extraction is performed to prevent wisdom teeth from becoming impacted. When performing an extraction at Lake Area Dentistry, we use sedation techniques to ensure a comfortable experience.

Dental Examinations

Routine dental examinations are essential to help you maintain healthy teeth and gums. During an exam, we will thoroughly inspect your teeth and soft tissues. Your doctor will also perform an oral cancer screening and use digital and panoramic x-rays to spot early signs of decay, bone recession, and other concerns.

Emergency Dentistry

Our experienced and compassionate doctors understand that dental emergencies can be alarming, which is why we are here for our patients when they need us most. If you have a dental emergency, such as a knocked out tooth or severe toothache, Dr. Hennigan or Dr. Bray will see you within 24 hours.

Sedation

Many patients are nervous at the thought of visiting the dentist, whether because of sensitive teeth or prior bad experiences. But avoiding the dentist makes catching problems that much harder and can severely undermine your oral health. To help ease your anxiety, we provide nitrous oxide and oral sedation options at the office.
